About Tyee

Tyee Log Homes Ltd. (Tyee) is a custom home builder, handcrafted log & timber frame builder and general contractor. Tyee was established in Kimberley, BC to build resort properties in the Canadian and American Rocky Mountain resort areas. As well, we established within this region to be within a short drive of most all National, Provincial and State mountain parks within North America (Jasper, Banff, Waterton, Glacier, Yellowstone, etc).

Tyee has been designing and building custom residential, commercial and log & heavy timber structures since 2003. The principals of our firm have over 50 combined years of experience in project management, on-site construction and log & timber construction experience.

Tyee Log & Timber specializes in design-build of log & timber frame commercial structures. We design and build 20 to 40 log and timber structures each year for a range of clients, both private and public. We choose to work collaboratively with the owner, architect, engineer and other consultants to deliver a successful project.

Tyee is committed to designing and building energy efficient log & timber homes, we have been a Built-Green Canada member since 2008.

We build all our homes to the performance path and balance energy efficiency and construction cost. We are also committed to improving log & timber detailing for improved energy performance.
